Gee wilikers, it’s already December. Where did 2010 go?!
I hope all of you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We had an awesome day of delivering nearly 800 meals to homebound seniors! It was a very eventful day.

These photos were taken by volunteer photographer, Augusto Decastro. He did an amazing job! He signed up to volunteer for only an hour as we got started on Thanksgiving morning but ended up staying the entire day! Thank you so much, Augusto!
A BIG thank you to all the wonderful volunteers who came out to support and help us on Thanksgiving morning. Most volunteers were at our office, ready to go, by 7 a.m.!!…on a holiday morning!! Good on you.
Planning for Thanksgiving is the reason why I haven’t been able to update the blog as much as I’d like. And I apologize for the lag in getting back to some of your voice messages and emails – the second half of the year is always so busy! Thank you for understanding.
With that said, we are gearing up for Christmas morning Lanakila Meals on Wheels packaging and delivering. Please let me know if you’re interested in helping. Also, we are in desperate need for regular (non-holiday) volunteers so if you or anyone you know is interested, please, please, please contact me ASAP.

Again, thank you volunteers! Your generosity, devotion, caring and love never ceases to amaze me.
