Thousands of lives.Lanakila Pacific and Honorary Event Chair, Chef Alan Wong, are excited to announce that the public may now purchase a one-of-a-kind table offering a memorable dining experience during The Good Table, a benefit for Lanakila Meals on Wheels, Hawaii’s largest and only islandwide meal provider to homebound kupuna. Presented by Hawaii Government Employees Association & Island Insurance Companies, the event offers tables for sale through September 23 at www.thegoodtable.org or by calling 531-0555.
“Following the generous community support we received last year, we are excited to bring our signature fundraising event to the public once again,” said Marian Tsuji, president and CEO of Lanakila Pacific. “With a weakened economy and one of the fastest growing senior populations in the nation, our kupuna really need our help. The Good Table truly turns one great meal into many for Hawaii’s elderly in need.”
Back for its third year, The Good Table is a unique synchronized dining event scheduled for Thursday, October 6 at 6 p.m. at more than 50 of Oahu’s most popular dining establishments. Select restaurants, ranging from casual eateries to the island’s most recognizable fine dining establishments, will servea special feast for pre-purchased tables at their respective restaurants. Proceeds from the purchased tables directly support Lanakila Meals on Wheels to provide meals and support for Hawaii’s elderly in need.
