Recognizing a need for healthy foods in our community, Lanakila Kitchen was established in 2006 by Lanakila Pacific.
In May 2006, Lanakila Kitchen was selected as the winner of the Hogan/Bank of Hawaii Nonprofit Business Plan competition for a sound business plan demonstrating “social entrepreneurship.”
Our meals are prepared at our state of the art kitchen at 1809 Bachelot Street (across from Kuakini Street). Generous individuals and businesses in the community helped fund the kitchen expansion to establish this business venture.
In 2011 Lanakila Kitchen Kauai was established, our first neighbor island venture! Bringing “Good to Go” favorites to the Lawai community and beyond, Lanakila Kitchen Kauai not only provides good food, but also a great job training opportunity for adults with disabilities in Kauai.
We are proud to feature local, seasonable and sustainable foods whenever possible to help support regional farms and families, and specialize in contract food services, business breakfasts, luncheons and drop-off meals.
